Shit Out of Luck is what you should really call Officer Irvine, badge # 2952.
On Wednesday night I drove home from hula practice at around 9 p.m.---the usual practice. As I turned on my car's engine, I noticed my headlights were dimming. Seeing this I decided to increase the chances of safety by turning on my fog lights on as well. Unfortunately, my headlights had died out along my drive back to home... and even more unfortunate is that I got pulled over.
The officer seemed kind and reasonable. I played cool and calm, and in my mind, my headlights weren't
totally out. To Officer Irvine, my lighting wasn't enough and he decided to cite me. Not only did he cite me, but he claimed that I had no lighting at all and that my violation is not deemed correctional.
So just moments ago I logged into youtube and was taught via various DIY vids on how to change the headlights of a car. And well, you guessed it, success was on my part. :)
Tomorrow I plan to arrange for my first ever contest to a ticket violation trial. I'm nervous but excited. Very proud of my work--I feel so damned independent!
But I can't thank the faces on youtube enough... Dang, youtube is quite the life saver. I learned to extract candle wax from my carpet from youtube, and now changing my headlights. Youtube I am forever grateful.
Funny how life works :)
